Things I Should Probably
Keep To Myself

Also, fun links, new authors, books I like, and probably a good deal of incoherent ramblings.

Friday Round Up...

When I'm writing a book I don't get much sleep. My brain is always bouncing off the walls of my skull like a kid that found last year's Halloween candy. Since I'm almost always writing a book, sometimes I get a little punch drunk. The only way to get a good night's sleep is to somehow turn off the technicolor in my head.

Either that, or copious amounts of alcohol.
Which leads me to explain (make excuses) Fridays. On Fridays, since my brain is fried like burnt eggs and stinking up the place, I'm going to have some interesting, funny, or odd links for your enjoyment.

I love the folks over at Bad Lip Reading. If you haven't checked them out, do it now. Their take on Twilight is pee-your-pants funny. They just did one for the latest Spider Man movie. Enjoy.

I'm a huge (HUGE!) Miyazaki nerd. I love Studio Ghibli movies. My kids didn't even know what Disney was until they went to a sleepover and saw Robin Hood or some other nonsense. Someday it is my weird geeky dream to get a full tattoo sleeve of only Miyazaki characters. And of all the wonderful films, My Neighbor Totoro will always be my favorite. Here the folks at Kotaku show what some of the Totoro characters would look like with the Pixar treatment.

Here is a random link to my books-I-want-to-read list.

As a huge fan of Neil Gaiman, I had a nerdgasm when I learned they are remaking Neverwhere. I own the old BBC box set version, and loved the novel. But this. Looks. Fabulous.

I'm going to need more coffee before I can post any more. Hopefully future Fridays will find me more prepared. But probably not. Now I have to try to get my brain to cooperate as I work on Niki 4. Have a great weekend!
